SMALLHOLDER AQUACULTURE DEVELOPMENT

Expected Outcome : to improve the production and productivity as well as the food security and diet quality of smallholder farmers.The Sub components are :

  • Smallholder Aquaculture production
  • Development of enterprises in support of smallholder aquaculture production
  • Community nutrition initiative

AQUACULTURE VALUE CHAIN DEVELOPMENT

This Component aims at improving the efficiency of the whole aquaculture value chain with a concentration of programme efforts and resources on operations including smallholders through the following sub components:

  • Smallholder - based aquaculture value chain development
  • Aquaculture sector enabling environment and support services

PROJECT MANAGEMENT, MONITORING AND EVALUATION

This component aims at supporting seamless implementation of activities in the mutually dependant technical components.In so doing,the component ensures the Programme is run effectively and efficiently to achieve the Programme Development Objective.To achieve the above objective, the focus activities for this component include:

  • Undertake baseline survey
  • Development of KM/M&E Management Information System
  • PCU operational cost
